Thanks to Eliza Gano and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette for awarding me “20 to Watch in 10″! I”m really thankful and excited to be a part of this group of people. This month I was invited to attend the lunch where I met other award recipients. It was very special. Here is a photo of the event.
In September I was given a special gift and got to go to GREENBUILD in Phoenix to spend time with other environmental youth leaders as part of a USGBC group.
I met so many talented people from Youth Speaks and the other USGBC Youth Leaders. We had the amazing experience of seeing Al Gore speak but most importantly, we were brought together as a group to work for change in our communities. The name of our group is PARADIGM… Poets and Activists Reimagining a Dynamic Inclusive Green Movement. Wow that’s a mouthful!
We are working independently in our communities now towards one goal of creating awareness and making a difference. I’ll get to reconnect with them again in April in Washington DC at Youth Speaks. To see who they are follow some of the links below. Check out Carvens Lissaint! He’s an incredible poet… his videos are on his Facebook page…
Here are a few links to Youth Speaks Poets and USGBC Youth Leaders – Enjoy!!

Think Greener: Think about new ways you can make a difference. Plant a tree, clean up someone else’s yard if they can’t, join a volunteer group, plan a Party with a Purpose.
Be Greener: Actually DO something about it. Don’t just say you’re going to be greener, do it. Now’s the time to act. Always recycle, do a better job of reusing and reducing your own carbon footprint.
Live Greener: Be really conscious of how you and your parents live. Do you really help your parents to reduce? Think of ways you can do your part. Get off your couch and do something. Make a difference through your local Earth Day foundation. Make some noise about living greener!
And finally… Don’t just do your part, help other people do theirs too by talking about it, sharing what you know and helping when you can.
